T1 Line Maintenance

XO Communications has notified us they will be doing upgrades to their network and T1 lines that support our system on Thursday  05/17 (TONIGHT) starting at 23:00 and lasting until 06:00. There will be temporary outages during these times that will cause the consoles to lose connection and the system to go into site trunking. The outages should last no more than 1 hour at a time and may occur up to 3 times. Dispatchers will need to use back up radios/walkies during these outages. Field units will receive the "SITE TRUNKING" notice on their radios, but can continue to operate on their normal talk-groups.

The number of outages needed to complete the upgrade are unknown and may not affect all circuits.
If you have any questions, contact Jay Somerville.

Huntley Tower Outage

On Wednesday May 16th at 11:00, Worthington PD was notified that the T1 line to the Huntley Road tower had been knocked down. This is an air line that runs from the roadway, across the QuickCrete property and to the tower site shelter. This effectively put the Huntley Road tower off line. XO was notified and had the line repaired at 20:15 the same day. The Huntley tower is back on line and in full service.
